Brightworks' design methodology always incorporates design for manufacture and assembly as a concurrent activity that occurs throughout the design process. The end result is a product that is ready for manufacture, without the need for drastic changes at the end of the design process.
Brightworks always strive to add value to your project and drive down cost where possible. Our knowledge of manufacturing and assembly techniques allow us to design in clever ways to reduce production time, improve assembly methods and save you money.
Please see the list below for examples of projects where we have improved the manufacturing/assembly of a product to reduce costs:
- Call Aid, Pear Push - Several different configurations of Pear Push can be manufactured using the same simple plastic components.
- Double Electric Breast Pump - All internal parts of the pump simply slot together for easy assembly, only finally being held securely in place when the enclosure is fixed together with 4 standard screws. This also allows for material separation and recycling at end of product life.
- Winkku - The same component parts can be configured at point of manufacture to make either a left handed or a right handed unit.
- EnModus - Brightworks developed a novel connection method, between the circuit board and the power connection pins, to reduce production assembly time.
